These articles, which also contain exerpts, give you a glimpse into what's inside the book.
Go back in time and learn the secrets of your destiny. Have you ever met someone for the first time, yet felt you’d known that person for years? Do you feel drawn to a particular era or culture? Have you experienced déjà vu? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you may be closer to your past than you think! Get ready to explore the mysteries of time and space and uncover hidden truths about yourself.
Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief . . . Who Was I? To begin, relax completely and free your mind of worries. This allows you to tune into your subconscious mind, which holds your memories. Get comfortable in a chair or on a couch. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Focus on inhaling and exhaling. Notice how tension is lifting, calmness descending. Breathe slowly and imagine a beautiful rainbow high above you. Feel yourself floating upward through each color. Red ... orange ... yellow ... green ... blue ... indigo ... violet. Experience the unique energies and vibrations of each hue. Repeat to yourself: It’s easy for me to remember my past lives. I want to know and understand the emotions and experiences that occurred in my past lives. My past life memories will help me in my present life.
Keep giving yourself clear suggestions. Within your subconscious mind are all the memories of your past lives. You don’t need a map to find them, and you don’t need directions to discover where you’ve lived before. Your higher self already knows all about the memories and how to find them. Believe that you can explore the realms and realities of your past life and soon your memories will open up easily and in great detail.
As your past lives begin to surface, look for details that will help reveal more of the memory. Pay particular attention to: whether you are male or female, a child or an adult; how you are dressed; the foot covering you are wearing; the surrounding landscape; the weather or climate; any noises or smells; and your companions. Go with the flow of the emotions and events as they appear in your mind. As the images become clearer, your perception and understanding of past life events will increase. And when you open your eyes, you will be aware that there are reflections of past lives all around you, mirrored in your current experiences and feelings. Now you are ready to use the present to help uncover the past.

Paying IOU’s From the Past. Your friends in the present were your companions in the past. People you are close to, or are related to, shared previous lives with you, though probably in different roles. Your mother may have been your sister or your son; your husband may have been your wife or a friend in a past life. You choose to be with people you’ve known before because they provide you with an opportunity to balance your karma—a Sanskrit term for the effects of your past thoughts, feelings, and actions on your present experiences.
Your present relationships reflect past life ties. If the relationship was negative in the past, you’re together in this lifetime to balance your karma and bring it to a positive level. If you shared a positive relationship in the past, your bond is continued and enhanced in the present. Friends or lovers from previous lives are soulmates. There are three different kinds of soulmates. Each has unique characteristics that make them unmistakable from other people in your life.
Companion soulmates are those who help you accomplish a goal or help you fulfill a specific purpose. They offer a mutual gift of learning, sharing, and helping. In a previous live, you’ve helped them and they’re returning the favor. You meet companion soulmates every day in a variety of situations—the friend who offers you perceptive advice; the teacher who inspires you; or the acquaintance who offers you a ride when your car breaks down. Companion soulmates are people you’ve spent a brief time with in previous lives.
Twin soulmates are people you’ve shared a special bond of friendship with in many lifetimes. Meeting a twin soulmate is like running into a good friend you haven’t seen in years. You instantly feel natural and open with them, as you pick up the relationship where it left off in a previous life. A twin soulmate is someone with all the characteristics of a companion soulmate, but with whom you feel a much stronger bond. You’ll recognize twin soulmates as close family members or friends who understand you completely. Very often you don’t even need words to communicate with them because your souls are in tune on a telepathic level. Your present relationship usually lasts from several years to your entire lifetime. But if you part company, you part in a positive way.
A twin flame soulmate is your one and only true soulmate. You’ve spent many lifetimes together, loving and caring about each other, and you share a deep spiritual bond. When you meet him or her again in this lifetime, you feel an instant attraction, as if there’s an electric connection between you. You sense that you’ve known this person forever, and the love you feel is always reciprocal. It’s been said that your twin flame soulmate is the other half of your soul, and together your souls form a complete union. Many people believe that once you’ve found your twin flame soulmate you get married and live happily ever after. This is sometimes true, but you can experience problems because of negative karma incurred in previous lives. Even so, with a twin flame soulmate, there’s always an undercurrent of love.
Discovering Your Destiny. Your past life memories and present experiences are stepping stones that lead to where you want to be and where you are meant to be at all times in your life, even if you feel lost or are not sure of your next step. Use the following meditation to guide you to paths traveled in the past and the present, as well as paths you will travel in the future. Begin by closing your eyes and focusing on an image of a rosebud. As you watch the rose open up, you become aware of the knowledge and truth within you revealing itself. Watch how your inner awareness unfolds, step by step, petal by petal. Let your thoughts roam freely. Feel how past experiences and emotions have formed the path you are following now. Connect past life events and emotions with present experiences to find the answer to the question of why you’re here and what you’re meant to be doing in this lifetime. When you put together all your insights, you’ll be looking at a map of your destiny. You’ll see how it was formed, why you chose it, and where it is leading. And you will know this truth: You are the master of your fate.

Inner Journeys is about meditation, about looking within to remember your spiritual knowledge and to reawaken to your spiritual self. There are many ways to meditate; this book offers guided imageries and visualizations to help readers open their mind to its full awareness and to grow their soul into the multidimensional, spiritual light-beings that they truly are.
The book opens with an explanation of the process and purpose of meditation, along with a relaxation designed to give readers entry to the worlds within, as well as a chapter on learning the language of your mind—what it shows you, how it speaks to you, and how to listen. The book offers 58 meditations that invite readers on an inner journey into magical, mystical places within their heart, mind, and soul.
Some meditations are fairly short—a page or two—that offer the essence of the intended imagery as it draws a picture or creates a scene. Readers are encouraged to rely on their mind to take them where they need to go. As they allow the words to form into images and open up into thoughts and feelings inside their mind, the words will draw them into a special, magical world within themselves.
Some of the meditations are more like musings that speak to a person’s soul. Others are relaxing and soothing. Still others are exhilarating and rejuvenating. Most are worded in such a way that readers can explore whatever comes into their mind and experience it in their own way. Several gently guide readers in a specific direction to achieve certain purposes, such as healing or meeting their guardian angel.
The meditations inside this book spoke to me gently in my thoughts and whispered through my dreams as it danced on my computer screen. It grew from the classes I teach on positive mind power, dreams, intuitive awareness, reincarnation, and meditation. What helps my students learn about their spiritual nature is not explanations, but inner experiences that provide real knowledge. By going within themselves to discover what their mind says to them and what their soul shows them, they remember their inner knowing and find their own truth.
Books are like paper children; each have their own personality and vibe. As I wrote the words, the book came to life and began to write itself, inviting me on a journey within myself where the words flowed like a magical stream of water and showed me a place where images bloom. Words are magical and mystical; they have the power to open up multidimensional worlds within one’s mind, heart, and soul. Inner Journeys is a way-shower, inviting readers to remember what they’ve always known about their true spiritual nature. -- New Worlds, September/October 2006. © 2006 by Gloria Chadwick.
It’s a beautiful, warm, moonlit evening and you’re enjoying a quiet stroll by a lake. Stopping to look at the reflection of the moon on the water, you notice how it shimmers with a luminescent light, almost as if it’s alive. A calm, gentle breeze ripples across the surface, inspiring a magical, mystical sense of awareness within you.
Walking to the edge of the water, admiring the beauty of the reflection of moonlight on the water and enjoying the sense of harmony that it brings forth within you, you notice how the light shimmers with an effervescent energy. Stepping into the warm, shallow water, you feel the softly-swirling effervescence gently bubbling around your feet.
Bending down, you scoop up handfuls of the warm water, letting it run through your fingers, noticing the tingling in your hands. As you splash the water over your face and body, bathing in the light from the moon reflecting on the water, you feel your hands and body become energized with the tingling effervescence of the water.
Joyfully, with carefree abandon, you play in the water. As you splash the water over your body, and in circles all around you, you feel your body begin to tingle and vibrate with a sense of energy and vitality that you’ve experienced before, a long time ago when your spirit was free and filled with light, and you realize that you’re bathing in the divine light of the universe—the light of your soul.
As this remembrance re-awakens within you, you look up at the sky, at the infinite universe, and you breathe in the light of the sparkling stars that combine their light with the light emanating and radiating from the moon. You know that this universal light reflects your soul’s divine essence.
You feel a beautiful, wonderful feeling of radiant health and harmony within your body, mind, and spirit, freeing you and opening you up more and more to your true spiritual nature—that of a divine, powerful, spiritual being who has only taken up a temporary residence here on earth.
